My first solo dance competition 💃

 I have participated in many dance competitions, but they were all group competitions. I participated in a solo dance competition in the class where I was learning dance. It was the first time I had competed alone.

I was supposed to perform a hip hop dance😎. I was very excited since the morning of that day😪.The competition was supposed to start at around 11 am. My friends were also ready to perform their dances. We went to the competition venue at around 9 am. After a while, my two teachers and the judging panel arrived. Our teacher gave us numbers to perform for the competition.

Oh my God..!! I got the first number🥹. My heart was beating faster. I felt like I couldn't remember anything I was practiced to. Somehow, I steeled myself and went in front of the judges and performed the dance. Finally, I bowed my head to the judges and left♥️.The others also performed their dances in their turn. After about two hours, the competition ended.

After everything was over and I returned home, our teacher gave us the results of the competition that same night. Oh, what a surprise🫣. I had unexpectedly qualified for the next round🤭♥️.I was very happy and thanked my teacher for giving me such an opportunity and resolved to do very well in the next round🌝🤍.

      Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress. It was built by King Kasyapa. Sigiriya is world famous for its frescoes. Foreign tourists who come to Sri Lanka never fail to visit Sigiriya. It is a place of archaeological and historical value.       We can see the graffiti or verses on the mirror wall. These verses had been written by the ancient visitors. These verses help us to learn about the evolution and development of our language. There are nearly 700 such verses on this mirror wall.    Although King Kasyapa is regarded as a patricide, he was a lover of art.
